Officially we entered the season of Autumn on the weekend September 23rd which is the Equinox. Given two weeks ago we were in the midst of a final end of Summer heatwave it is wild that Iβm now feeling the chill in the air and the social media push for the Official Season of Fall.
This weather makes me want to cook all the foods while being cozy and cute with in season fruit and veg being very ~aesthetic~ in the kitchen. It's the dawn of soup season, the reignition of baking season, and the invitation to embark on apple-picking adventures.
Pumpkin & Squash π
Creamy rice and roasted veggies make this recipe of carrot and pumpkin risotto a whole Practical Magic moment .
Obvi Halloween is coming around and pumpkin chilli kind of hits that vibe of spooky and cozy all in one.
As squash is very much of the season, this curried quinoa and butternut squash recipe is giving very much lunch at home.
Apples π
Pork and apples are a match made in autumnal heaven and this what I am afterrrrr.
Imagine you rewatching Gilmore Girls and you just need something to nibble on to keep you going episode after episode, its this apple french toast
Broccoli π₯¦
The name of this recipe is so utterly delightful, I enjoy it without even tasting it blistered broccoli pasta with walnuts, pecorino and mint (*apologies I donβt have a gift link for this).
Not saying that broccoli should only be eaten with pasta but that is what Iβm saying broccoli and pasta with smoky chickpeas
Pearsπ
Bear with me on this one, its the marriage of all fall ingredients combined on this one - brussel sprouts, pears AND pistachios.
This list was seriously lacking on the breakfast recipes but have no fear, this pear baked oatmeal/porridge is everything you could dream of.
